Build an Athlete Camp! General Athleticism Development for our Younger Athletes. Young Athletes will have fun learning and developing overall athleticism. Young athletes tend to specialize too soon and can get burned out early. Build an Athlete will present skills important to all sports in a fun way. Agility Development Camp Athletes will learn the skills to turn on a dime, and to start, stop, and change speeds and directions at will. Combining training for linear and lateral acceleration, deceleration, and change of direction, learn to guard your opponent, leave your opponents wondering where you went, and to get your body in position, quickly, to make key plays. Drills will teach cutting, pivoting and deceleration technique as well as helping athletes build the strength to move decisively. Classes held at SportsCity Academy. Juan brings his expertise and experience to a small camp setting where your player will get specialize attention and training. Juan Acevedo had an 8 year career in the Major Leagues. He appeared in 367 MLB games. Juan brings tremendous pitching knowledge and a passion for teaching young pitchers to this camp. Juan will focus on player mechanics and technique, pitcher training and development, and the mental side of pitching that will help players at any level. Marty Dello Basketball School The Marty Dello Basketball School is designed to provide each athlete the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of basketball while having fun. Ability is not a factor in choosing the become a part of our school. Our goal is to work with players of all abilities and all ages. We will teach the proper techniques to make each individual player become the best player the can be. The experience provided by Coach Dello and his staff is the absolute BEST around. They have years of high school and college coaching experience, high school and college playing experience, and numerous contacts through out the United States. Today, kids play the game of basketball but they very rarely practice the game. Our motto is, “perfect practice — makes perfect!” Many kids join a team and practice one day a week or play a game another. Our goal is to make your son or daughter a better, more competitive, and more complete basketball player. We will do that by teaching the art of fundamental basketball. The Marty Dello Basketball School will improve skills and provide a program to prepare for a lifetime of enjoyment with this great game of basketball. Basketball Shooting Camp This camp will focus on teaching the proper techniques for shooting the basketball. Coach Dello and his staff will work on developing the proper footwork, balance, accuracy, and form that is used by high school players and the Magic Basketball Program. Each Camper will be put through a series of drills and teaching stations working on the proper fundamentals. Skill training and development is the focus of this camp. Shooting contest, shooting games, and practice will be implemented. This is a two (2) week progressive camp, but you may sign up for one week only.
